National Symposia
The Department of Gastroenterology hold regular national symposia on hepatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, functional gut and endoscopy. These annual or biannual meetings bring together leading experts in the field from Victoria, with invited National and International keynote speakers. The symposia take the format of keynote lectures, case base interactive panel discussions, breakout sessions and for the endoscopy symposium, live demonstrations. Panel discussions are lively, and cover topical and complex care issues, and include members from a wide range of disciplines within health care, as well as the community and consumer sector.
NATIONAL HEPATITIS SYMPOSIUM
This year with be the 28th National Hepatitis Symposium. Due to the uncertainty caused by the COVD-19 pandemic, the 28th National Hepatitis Symposium for 2021 will be held as a 6 part webinar series and covers topical areas in viral hepatitis C, viral hepatitis B, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, hepatocellular carcinoma and portal hypertension.
