Our IBD Nurse Consultants coordinate care for patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, including those undergoing immunosuppressive and biological treatments. They assess patients for biological treatment suitability, educate on biologic therapy, monitor treatment progress in collaboration with gastroenterologists, and manage various aspects of IBD care.

Our Hepatitis Nurse Consultants oversee the care of patients with liver disease and cirrhosis, ensuring timely reviews for candidates of viral hepatitis treatment and those with advanced liver disease. They provide patient support during hepatitis treatment, offer education to GPs on hepatitis management, facilitate participation in the hepatitis shared care program, and manage consultations for HCV therapy prescriptions.

The Liver Cancer Nurse oversees care for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), coordinating referrals to multidisciplinary meetings, supporting patients through treatment, coordinating imaging and treatment referrals, and providing education on HCC treatments.

Our Victorian Hepatitis Educator offers statewide education on Hepatitis B and C in various healthcare settings. Tailored workforce development sessions are available to meet specific learning needs across Victoria.

The Statewide Hepatitis Prison Service, led by nurses in main prisons, offers BBV screening and complex care coordination for liver disease patients within the prison system.
